The world has gone flat again! The term "glocal" is used to describe the modern phenomenon of connectivity between technology, travel, vocation, business, communication, and everything else pertaining to the world flattening out, or merging. Cooperation, innovation, and creativity will converge on something amazing...and FRESH is going to be part of it! Going glocal at FRESH means not just sending, but going. Capitalizing on glocal realities means everyone in the church participates. It's not segregating missions to just another ministry for FRESH, it is something we do every day. We believe two things: The church is THE Missionary, and Life is a MISSION!

"God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with His rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don't ever quit. Just keep it simple."

-2 Timothy 4:1-2

The Glocal Story

Fresh Church is community minded and intentional in seeking to make a local as well as global's the FRESH way. We are actively involved in sharing Jesus, creating opportunities to connect, discipling believers, meeting on a regular basis for worship, supplying a local food bank, we support the digging of fresh wells every single week in Zimbabwe, as well as providing thousands of bibles, children's evangelistic tools, and study Bibles several times a year in the middle of Asia, and training their leaders to lead their respective people groups. Fresh is serious about being missional! We don't just talk about it or send money, we do and we go! Please feel free to check out our partners in ministry at and and Read and share the stories below, share your own with us on social media! God is moving in our community!

"Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you."

-Matthew 28:19,20

Glocal - Food Pantry

The first glocal project for Fresh was to make an impact in our own community by helping stock a local emergency food pantry. This Glocal Challenge  called for everyone to donate three food items by bringing them to church on March 13, 2016. There was a very generous participation in our church! Fresh collected over 200 nonperishable food items and delivered them to the Columbia Metro food pantry at Rosewood Church, where they will be used to help our neighbors in need.

Glocal- Easter Baptism

On Easter Sunday (2016), Fresh baptized Josh Levesque. Josh is married to Rachel for 16 years, and they have two children, Dillon and Emily. Josh has an incredible story about how God rescued him. "I've done some really bad stuff and hurt a lot of people and still He's given me all I have, my family, my work, my work ethic, my house and my life. I was in Christian rehab for drugs. In one of the services they had, there was a preacher talking about burying our old selves, and he brought in a casket. I broke down crying to the point where I could not catch my breath, it was so overwhelming, I fell to my knees. I invited Christ into my life. He forgave me of all my sin." What does a relationship with Christ mean to you Josh? "It means being obedient to Him, and trying my best to be like Him more and more each day. Even when I fall short I learn from it and go to His Word, the Bible, and have my time alone with Him."

Glocal - Asia

Fresh sent a Glocal Impact Team to Asia on April 17th thru April 28th, 2016. We distributed 5,000 Bibles, 10,000 presentations of the Gospel for children, and trained 150 pastors and lay leaders in how to use the Study Bible we provided them. Thousands are coming to Christ every day in Asia, and God has put our church on the front line of service to meet their needs. They need more Bibles and they need more leaders. Fresh will continue to go as God provides. The next Glocal Impact Team to Asia will likely travel in June of 2017. Our goal is to give out 15,000 plus Bibles!

Glocal - Zimbabwe

Matt Lawson provides the sound each week for the worship services of Fresh Church. He also allows the Fresh Band to rehearse each week at a warehouse he owns. Instead of Fresh paying Matt for hours of hard work he does each week for our church, Matt asked that we redirect the money to Life-International and their work in Zimbabwe. Every week, on Matt's behalf, we send $125 to Life International. Click on this link to go to their blog page. Pray for them, and thank God for men like Matt!

Glocal - Men's Cookout

On Monday, June 13th 2016, 35 men gathered for a cookout and for Pastor Greg to cast vision for 72 men to gather regularly to learn to grow in God, to receive directions from God to go, and to fellowship with one another. The New Testament book of James tells us that we are not to be just hearers of the Word of God, but to be doers!  Jesus sent out 72 men in Luke 10 to share peace, to pray, and to help prepare people for the coming Kingdom of God. Some of these men will take this challenge! You are welcome to join and be one of the "72".

Glocal - ColA Fireflies Gig

Sunday night, June 26, 2016, the Fresh Band was invited to lead in worship after the Columbia Fireflies baseball game. During the 45-minute set, the band led worship for the hundred folks that stuck around after the game.

Fall Baptism -

October 30th, 2016

On a cool autumn morning following our celebration service to the Lord, Fresh baptized four new believers. We have a hunger to see our community changed, and believe it only happens in transformed lives for Jesus.

Send Detroit

Fresh dispatched a team to the Detroit area in December of 2016 to scout out opportunities to partner with church planters. After meeting approximately a dozen pastors working on starting churches in the metro Detroit area and also just across the river in Windsor, Ontario, Fresh is poised to make a decision in the first few weeks of January, 2017 to encourage, support, and go to Michigan or Canada at least once in 2017. Please pray for this is massive for God's Kingdom.

Glocal - Ecuador

On December 11th, 2016, Fresh began supporting Jonathan and Bekah Pifer, missionaries to Ecuador. Jonathan grew up in the area where Jim Eliot and his friends were martyred for the Gospel. Please pray for them as they minister in Shell, Ecuador. Fresh is planning a mission trip there in the summer of 2018.
